Built in 1902, Boaler Street school was built in connection with Butler St school.  It changed its name to Newsham School, and amalgamated with Butler St in the 1990s to form New Park Primary School.

Right:   This reference was submitted to the Local Authority when they were collecting information to celebrate 100 years of Liverpool School Board!  Headteacher at the time was James GRANT who was an assistant teacher when the school opened in 1902!
