Sadly, Ada SHAW has not yet appeared on published census!  Her sisters Euphemia (Dolly) and Annie were also teachers.

Born 1892 in Everton, she was training in Hull at the Convent of Mercy.  She later came back to Liverpool to teach in the Bootle area.  She lived in Waterloo.

Ada was a fanatical Liverpool supporter - resplendent with scarves and rattles, she could cuase quite a commotion on match days!

She was also a big fan of the boxer john Conteh, and attended boxing matches at Liverpool Stadium.

I remember her as a great friend of Cis McNALLY
